The name is pretty self explanatory but having the parts partially assembled makes it fast, easy to use and a little less intimidating the first time! If you are local to me I have a few pumps to rent at a very reasonable rate otherwise, to find the closest Medela rental station call 1-800-TELL YOU. If you know you will be renting later for work or whatever reason this would be a good kit to buy prenatally so you will have the parts to manually pump if you get a little uncomfortable the first few days.
